The Marvelous Wonderettes is a comical and amusing musical performance as four teen girls in 1958 are faced with experiences and trials. In Act 1 the girls are asked to perform at their Springfield High School senior prom. They are “trophy winning” song leaders, replacing the boys’ glee club’s position with triumph. They sing and dance to popular songs of the 1950s such as “Mr. Sandman”, “Lollipop”, and “Dream Lover.” Act 2 takes place ten years later at the girl’s 10-year high school The girls have again been asked to provide entertainment, the reminiscence is strong within them. The classic hits in the second act include “Heatwave,” “It’s in His Kiss,” “It’s My Party,” and “I Only Wanna Be With You.”
