Paden City Police Department Releases September Report

Throughout the month of September, the Paden City Police responded to a 21 citations by violation and 138 total records.

Under violation citations included a junk vehicle, one old tires violation, one joy riding/reckless driving, one defective equipment, five no seat belt violations, four expired MVI, two no insurance, one cell phone use while driving, an expired registration, one driving suspended, one obstruction or fleeing from an officer, one resisting arrest and one disorderly conduct.

Of the 138 station reports include three animal complaints, one ATV complaint, one breaking and entering, two for counterfeit money, one destruction of property, one disorderly conduct, five domestic violence calls, one driving complaint, one harassment/threat, one hit and run driver, one hit and run total, two noise complaints, one robbery, one sex crime, three suspicious persons, two suspicious vehicles, one theft and three trespassing.

City Court was also in session with the following cases:

David Mercer of Paden City entered a guilty plea to theft of utility and to destruction of property.

Rachel Haught of Reader forfeited bond for expired MVI.

Lissa Bungard of Paden City forfeited bond for a stop sign violation.

Debra Derby of Paden City entered a guilty plea to dog at large.

Mollie Baker of Paden City entered a guilty plea to failure to stop for a school bus.

Brittany Simmons of New Martinsville forfeited bond for using cell phone while driving.

Tracie Nelms of Paden City forfeited bond for no MVI.

Bethany Riggenbach of Paden City entered a guilty plea to using cell phone while driving.

Dylan King of New Martinsville forfeited bond for expired MVI.
