Cases Heard Before Tyler County Magistrate

William Coty Powell, 36, of Parkersburg was charged with a felony offense of grand larceny alleged to occur July 26, 2021. Powell entered a not guilty plea on August 31, 2021. Powell’s preliminary hearing is set for September 30, 2021.

John Brian Shepherd, 55, of West Union, who was previously charged with two counts of sexual abuse by parent, two counts of sexual assault first degree and incest, was placed on home incarceration as a condition of bond. Shepherd’s preliminary hearing was waived on August 25, 2021.

James Dean Wade, 50, of Alma, was charged with felony offenses of attempting to commit an offense, but failing to commit or prevented from committing (life term), driving while license revoked – DUI and fleeing from officer (vehicle, reckless intent) alleged to occur September 3, 2021. Wade entered a not guilty plea to attempting to commit an offense. Wade’s preliminary hearing was waived September 14, 2021.

Stanley W. Bailey, 62, of Pennsboro was charged with a misdemeanor offense of knowingly or intentionally possessing a controlled substance without a valid prescription alleged to occur August 3, 2021. Bailey entered a not guilty plea on August 20, 2021. Bailey’s pre-trial is set for September 28, 2021.

Jacobi O Bryan Barton, 38, of Midland, PA was charged with misdemeanor offenses of battery and duty upon striking unattended vehicle alleged to occur August 25, 2021. Barton’s pre-trial is set for October 4, 2021.

Craig D. Bassett, 43, of Sistersville was charged with a misdemeanor offense of battery alleged to occur August 25, 2021. Bassett’s initial appearance is set for September 20, 2021.

Mark Philip Bennett, 35, of Point Pleasant was charged with misdemeanor offenses of unsafe and improperly equipped vehicles and driving under the influence – second offense alleged to occur August 21, 2021. Bennett entered a not guilty plea to unsafe and improperly equipped vehicles on August 31, 2021. Bennett’s pre-trial is set for October 13, 2021.

Robert Lee Brown, 45, of Sistersville was charged with a misdemeanor offense of domestic battery alleged to occur August 7, 2021. Brown entered a not guilty plea on August 8, 2021. Brown’s pre-trial is set for September 28, 2021.

Bradley S. Goodrich, 37, of Burton was charged with a misdemeanor offense of knowingly or intentionally possessing a controlled substance without a valid prescription alleged to occur August 12, 2021.

Amber Denise Haddix, 33, of Alma was charged with a misdemeanor offense of fleeing from officer alleged to occur August 17, 2021. Haddix entered a not guilty plea on August 18, 2021. Haddix’s pre-trial is set for September 28, 2021.

Robert Allen Hickman, 38, of Jacksonburg was charged with a misdemeanor offense of possession of a controlled substance alleged to occur September 10, 2021. Hickman’s initial appearance is set for October 7, 2021.

Raymond R. Lehman II, 38, of Paden City was charged with a misdemeanor offense of driving while license revoked – DUI alleged to occur August 30, 2021. Lehman entered a not guilty plea on September 13, 2021. Lehman’s pre-trial is set for October 26, 2021.

Michael J. Moore, 40, of Fairmont was charged with a misdemeanor offense of persons prohibited to possess firearms (domestic assault) alleged to occur August 6, 2021. Moore entered a not guilty plea on August 6, 2021. Moore’s pre-trial occurred September 14, 2021.

Gavin Wade Morris, 27, of Harman, was charged with misdemeanor offenses of assault and knowingly or intentionally possessing a controlled substance without a valid prescription – methamphetamine alleged to occur August 16, 2021. Morris entered a guilty plea agreement to both charges on September 15, 2021 and was sentenced to court costs and jail for 90 days, which will run concurrent with a Wetzel County case. Morris’ pre-trial occurred September 15, 2021.

Destiny Nicole Nelson, 29, of Friendly was charged with a misdemeanor offense of overtaking and passing a school bus with signs and warning lights upon bus. Nelson entered a not guilty plea on September 9, 2021. Nelson’s pre-trial is set for September 30, 2021.

Darryl Shaun Roux, 42, of Henderson was charged with a misdemeanor offense of driving under the influence with a blood alcohol level greater than or equal to .15 alleged to occur September 6, 2021. Roux entered a not guilty plea on September 7, 2021. Roux’s pre-trial is set for October 18, 2021.

Lionel Shon Seese, 50, of West Union was charged with a misdemeanor offense of knowingly or intentionally possessing a controlled substance without a valid prescription alleged to occur September 8, 2021.

Christine D. Streets, 47, of Alma was charged with a misdemeanor offense of knowingly or intentionally possessing a controlled substance without a valid prescription alleged to occur August 12, 2021.

Heather M. Vaughan, 37, of Danville was charged with misdemeanor offenses of speeding and knowingly or intentionally possessing a controlled substance without a valid prescription alleged to occur August 20, 2021. Vaughan entered a guilty plea to both charges on August 27, 2021.

Matthew R. Wayne, 39, of Sistersville was charged with a misdemeanor offense of knowingly or intentionally possessing a controlled substance without a valid prescription – methamphetamine alleged to occur August 31, 2021. Wayne entered a not guilty plea on September 7, 2021.

Anita Dawn Wells, 59, of Pennsboro was charged with misdemeanor offenses of knowingly or intentionally possessing a controlled substance without a valid prescription and possession of an open alcoholic beverage in a vehicle alleged to occur August 3, 2021. Wells entered a not guilty plea on August 20, 2021. Wells’ pre-trial is set for September 27, 2021. Wells was also charged with failure to use turn signals and operation of vehicle with safety belts and entered a no contest plea to both charges on September 15, 2021.

Teresa Wilkinson, 51, of Sistersville was charged with a misdemeanor offense of overtaking and passing a school bus with signs and warning lights upon bus alleged to occur September 9, 2021.

Thomas Edwin Yoho, 21, of Jacksonburg was charged with a misdemeanor offense of driving a vehicle while in an impaired state alleged to occur August 20, 2021. Yoho entered a not guilty plea on August 20, 2021. Yoho’s pre-trial is set for September 28, 2021.
