Paden City Releases August Police Report
Paden City Police Chief Anthony Laurer has released the departments monthly report for the month of August 2021.
Throughout the month of August, the department gave out 17 violations including: one unattended fire, one illegal burning, one failure to stop for school bus, five expired MVIs, one for no insurance, three for cell phone usage while driving, an expired registration, one animal at large, one destruction of property, one for theft of utility and one for tall grass.
The department also responded to 79 total calls; of those calls include one breaking and entering, one domestic non-violent and two domestic violent calls, one drug paraphernalia call, one intoxicated call, one noise complaint, one open burning complaint, three reckless drivers and one reckless driver – DUI, one for stolen property, two suspicious person calls, three welfare checks and made a total of 39 traffic stops.
There were also two city court cases:
Kyle Thomas of New Martinsville, WV forfeited bond for a stop sign violation, bond $132.00.
Tony Quinn of New Martinsville, WV entered a no contest plea to defective equipment, fine $132.00.
