Tyler County Fair Underway

Today is Ladies day at the Tyler County Fair, all ladies will be admitted free until noon. There is a full week of activities still planned with lots to do and see today starting with Quilting at the Log Cabin at 9 a.m. Cow Patty Bingo will take place from noon to 6 and Bingo by the Friendly Lion’s Club from 2-7 p.m.

Carnival rides will be open from 4-10L30 p.m. There will be a beef and livestock show at 4 p.m., and baked goods will be on sale at the Main Stage. Several events are planned at the race track including Flat Truck Kart Racing at 7 p.m. Karaoke begins at 8 p.m. at the small stage and Cody Claton Eagle will perform at 7:30 on the big stage. Kids celebration will be from 6-8 p.m.

Thursday will be another great day as al senior’s 60 and over are admitted free until 2 p.m. The horse show starts at 11 a.m. and senior programs begin at 12 noon. The Tyler County Belle Pageant begins at 12:30 p.m.

Barbara Lynn and the Silver Eagle Band takes the stage at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. Carnival rides open at 4 p.m. until 10:30. At 7:30 the Demolition Derby will take place at the track, an event you don’t want to miss. Karaoke begins at 9 p.m. on the small stage. Bingo by the Lion’s club will again be from 2-7 and Kids Celebration from 6-8. Much more is planned for the day.

Friday will be Mountaineer day with Mountaineer Day activities all morning. There will be Hog Calling contest at 11 a.m., a Liar’s contest at 11:15, a nail driving contest at 11:30, a hay bale throwing contest at noon, and corn hole at 1 p.m. Bingo and Carnival rides will be the same times as Thursday. Starting at 7 p.m. will be the Truck pulls at the race track and the market livestock sale will be held at 7 as well.

The main stage will have Moonlight Drive at 7 p.m. and CJ Solar at 9 p.m. Karaoke will be at the small stage from 7-9 p.m. The Kids Celebration will be from 5 p.m., 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.

Saturday will begin at 8 a.m. with Truck driver’s rodeo registration. The rodeo will begin at 10 a.m. Mud Bog registration starts at 10 a.m. with racing at noon.

Also the Archery contest will begin at 10 a.m., while carnival rides will be from 1-3 p.m. and 5-10:30 p.m. Bingo by the Lion’s club will be from 2-7 p.m. A horseshoe pitching Contest will take place at 4 p.m.

Eldo Huff will perform on stage at 7 p.m. followed by Jon Lanston at 9 p.m. Fireworks will be held following the Jon Lanston show.

Everyone is invited to join in the fun and activities of the 58th Tyler County Fair locate at the fair grounds and speedway off Rt. 18 three miles from Middlebourne.

Gates open daily at 8 a.m. with daily admission $8 Monday through Thursday. Admission is $10 on Friday and Saturday
