Tyler County Delegate David Kelly Helps Secure Ferry Funds

David Kelly recently spoke at the Sistersville Ferry Boat opening day He said he was honored to meet with Bob Ashley, a representative of Governor Justice’s office on FridayMay 7, to receive a check for $30,000.00 to assist in the operation of the Sistersville Ferry. “I first spoke with the Governor in early March 2020, just before the COVID – 19 lockdown,” said Kelly.

“The Governor was very interested in our community and, of course the ferry. He committed himself and his staff to finding a way to help us financially. Today, I received a check from Governor Justice.

It will be given to the city council, who will turn it over the to the Sistersville Ferry Board.

I want to personally thank the Governor and his staff for everything they have done to help us insure that the Sistersville Ferry remains a very important part of our community,” added Kelly.
