Sistersville Police Chief Releases December Activity Report

Sistersville police kept busy during the month of December answering 96 calls, including 26 traffic stops, which resulted in six arrests.

The arrests were for one Driving Under the Influence third offense and driving revoked, one driving under the influence second offense, one driving on suspended license, one obstructing, one cell phone violation, and one following too closely.

The department also answered 19 calls wishing to speak with an officer, eight suspicious person reports, and five follow up investigations.

Other answered call were four disabled vehicles, four domestic violence , three driving complaints, three harassment/threats, two drug calls, two calls to back up officers, two misc/notification calls, two calls to serve papers, two trespassing, two thefts, one vehicle lock out, one stolen plate, one noise complaint, one misconduct, one fight, one fire, one destroying property, one breaking without entering, one auto accident and one 911 silent call.
