The Middlebourne City Council met on Wednesday, October 14. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Steve Seago and began with the approval of the previous minutes and the treasurers report.
Soon-after, the meeting entered into an executive session.
Upon returning from executive session, Town Manager Tena Lemasters reported there were no applications on the bids to complete financial statements.
Next, Lemasters informed the council of the 2020 and 2021 audit bids. She reported the 2020 bid came in at $8,515 and includes federal money. The 2021 bid came in at $4,870 and does not include federal money. This includes town, water, sewer, and park, she reported. The bids for the audit were quickly approved.
Moving on, Tena also reported the bid for the new camera system came to $2,800. This bid includes all new wiring and audio/video recorded footage with night vision. The bid for the new camera system was approved.
It was then approved for a Christmas Parade to be held in Middlebourne on December 5. A tree lighting will begin at 6 p.m. at the gazebo, followed by the parade at 6:30.
