Bogg’s Pizza Slices Through Challenges
It is no secret that the pandemic has many small businesses struggling. Not only the businesses, but also the employees who work for them and have been laid off or had hours cut. Boggs’ Pizza and Grill, however, has taken these obstacles with stride.
Kim Boggs reports during the government mandated stay-at-home order, they had a total of four kitchen staff and three waitresses working. “We limited our appetizers since we were only doing carry out. Some menu items were not available to use through our suppliers. We are still trying to get everything back in stock,” says Boggs.
Although dining rooms are slowly allowed to reopen while maintaining a safe social distance, precautions are still necessary to ensure customer and employee safety. “We have some new tables. No napkin holders or salt and pepper on the tables,” says Boggs. “We are using to-go cups for all drinks. We also have new menus that should be ready by Monday. Right now, we are using a to-go menu that has been laminated.”
As for hours, Boggs’ Pizza and Grill is back to the normal schedule. “During the Covid-19, we reduced our hours to five days a week. We are back to our regular hours of Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.”
“We had a slow start getting our customers back. Business has picked up this week. We appreciate our customers through these difficult times,” says Boggs. “We are blessed.”
