Tyler County Under Water Following Heavy Rain
Although most people are dreaming of a “White Christmas”, December had something else in mind for our area last week.
Many students were celebrating a school closing on Tuesday, December 17, following a large amount of rain sweeping the county. After several days of wet weather, mother nature sent us heavy rain, overpowering the saturated ground and causing flooding in many places.
Many roadways, including Sellers Road, Indian Creek, Ross Run, and Rt. 23, were flooded for days causing several travel hazards and complications for drivers.
The hopes and dreams of those wishing for snow, however, were reinstated when snow flurries drifted through the county following the flood.
