Courtney Evans Memorial Scholarship Fund Has Another Successful Year

The Scholarship Committee announced that the 2019 scholarship winners are Peyton Kocher and Dylan Seckman.
The Courtney Evans Memorial Scholarship Fund had another successful year in 2019. The 12th Golf Scramble was held on July 27 at the Sistersville Country Club and it was a huge success. The Committee would like to thank all of the golfers, volunteers, and sponsors as well as the Sistersville Country Club.
This year’s Golf Scramble winners were Scott Bowers, AJ Johnson, Chris Horn, and Bud Tate. Congratulations to the 2019 winning team.
The Scholarship Committee is very proud to announce the 2019 scholarship winners – Peyton Kocher and Dylan Seckman. Both of these Tyler Consolidated High School students will be attending college this fall. Congratulations and much success to both of you.
Peyton Kocher is the daughter of Meredith and Charles Kocher. Peyton will be attending WVU in the fall to study Nursing. She aspires to become a Nurse Anesthetist. During her high school years Peyton participated in various sports and activities. She was Caption of the Basketball and Volleyball teams, volunteered at Sistersville Rural Health Clinic, and helped plan the Journey Hospice Benefit Dinner at Sistersville Hospital. Peyton was a member of the National Honor Society, Book Club, Prom Club, FBLA, and attended the Top 15 percent banquet.
Dylan Seckman is the son of Joann and Jeff Seckman, and will be attending WVU to study Engineering. During his High School years at Tyler Consolidated, he was in various extra-curricular activities. Seckman participated in football, basketball, baseball, and TSA. He also volunteered to help with the local Youth Leagues and taught guitar lessons at Saturday Recess at the school. Dylan was also a member of the National Honor Society.
