After 32 and a half years, Becky Wells of Wable Ford in Sistersvile is retiring. Wells began working there in November of 1986, and has dedicated her life to the job. “I don’t think there’s any facet of the job that she doesn’t know how to do.” Owner Bob Wable commented.

“She really runs the place. Anytime that I have a problem I can’t figure out, I yell ‘Becky’, and she comes running and takes care of it.” Wable continued.

When discussing her position, Wable said, “It’s a very difficult job. She knows all about the business…she could run it without any problem.”

Although Wable hired an individual to fill her position about a year ago, he said it’s hard to replace someone with as much training as she has. Despite this, Wells has worked hard this past year to train the person taking over as secretary to learn everything she has done for the past 32 and a half years.

“We’re going to miss her.” Wable expressed.

Wable announced they will host a retirement party for Wells, and honor her for her hard work and dedication on June 28, at Wable Ford’s between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Food and refreshments will be available during this event. Wable has extended an invitation to the public to say goodbye to Becky Wells.
