Genesis Youth Crisis Center Open Doors
On Wednesday, May 22, the Genesis Youth Crisis Center held an open house and a ribbon cutting ceremony. The center allowed individuals to tour the offices and the amenities offered throughout the day. Food and refreshments were also available for all visitors during this time. At 5 p.m., the center had a ribbon cutting ceremony.
An official with the Genesis Youth Crisis Center said, “We’re appreciative of the chamber coming out, and doing this for us. We’re really excited to be in Wetzel County, and in this area.” He explained that while they began working in the area about a year and a half ago, they had moved their offices to a new building.
“This building is really perfect for our needs and we’re excited about the opportunity to bring our community based services – foster care and adoption specifically – to this area. The state of West Virginia is in critical need right now for foster parents. We need families, and we’re excited to be able to expand our services down here.”
