Mathers Crowned Miss Knight

Naomi Mathers was crowned the Miss Knight at the annual Tyler Consolidated pageant on March 26. Katelyn Stillwagoner was named first runner-up, while Morgan Palmer was second-runner-up.

Mathers is the daughter of Rhonda Mathers. Naomi is a three-year member of FFA and enjoys horseback riding and farmwork. In the future, Naomi would like to become an equine dentist and open a farm for abandoned horses.

Stillwagoner is the daughter of Erica and Vincent Folmar and Joshua Stillwagoner. Katelyn is a member of FBLA, SADD, and Spanish clubs. She is a varsity cheerleader and two-year member of the track team. In the future, Katelyn plans on going to West Virginia Northern Community College to pursue an associate’s degree in Nursing.

Morgan Palmer is the daughter of Dave and Diane Palmer. Morgan is a varsity cheerleader and 2018 Middle Island Harvest Festival Teen Queen. After high school she plans to open her cosmetology business.

Other Miss Knight contestants Madison Huff, Katie Miller, Mya Anderson, Heidi Dennis, Haley Fletcher, Olivia Myers, Abbryanna Myers, and Kaytlyn Henthorn. Gentlemen participants, who escorted the contestants onto the stage were Avery West, Destry Nelson, Draven Nichols, and Trey Keys.

This year was also the first for Teen Miss Knight, which featured two participants – Trinity Kanz and Layla Williamson. Kanz was crowned Teen Miss Knight, while Williamson was first runner-up.
