Tyler County Schools had plenty to brag about at the West Virginia State Social Studies Fair on April 27.

Hattie Murphy and Sabrina Smith, Tyler Consolidated High School students, took home a first place prize for their Division 3 World History Project, titled “Operation Valkyrie: The Best of Luck.”

George Kester, Tyler Consolidated High School student, took home a third place prize for his Division 3 US History Project, titled “My Hero.”

Jasmine Henthorn, of Sistersville Elementary School, also had the opportunity to participate at the state level with her Division 1 Sociology Project, titled “Is Cheerleading a Sport?”

Congratulations to each of these students! Amanda Kimble of Tyler County Schools noted the students “did an outstanding job of representing Tyler County Schools!”
