Anderson Named Publisher
MOUNDSVILLE Eric Anderson has been appointed publisher of the Wetzel Chronicle, Tyler Star News and the Green Tab, Perry Nardo, regional publisher of the publications, announced this week.
Anderson, with a 22-year career in newspapers, takes over for Brian Clutter who has taken a new role with The Intelligencer and Wheeling News-Register.
“We are very pleased to have someone with Eric’s diverse background and experience in the newspaper industry step into a senior management position,” Nardo said, noting Anderson’s career has centered around circulation and advertising.
On accepting the appointment Anderson stated “Our publications have a long history of serving the local communities, and I look forward to leading our staff in continuing to provide our readers with a great product and our advertisers with a great value.”
A Glen Dale native, Anderson has been active in the community for years having previously served on several non-profit boards of directors including Appalachian Outreach Inc., the Strand Theatre Preservation Society, and the Marshall County Chamber of Commerce.
He currently serves on the advisory council of the West Virginia University Medicine/Reynolds Memorial Hospital BM Spurr School of Nursing, and chairs the finance committee of the Glen Dale United Methodist Church.
Anderson is a graduate of West Liberty University and holds a master’s degree from Wheeling Jesuit University.
