Think BIG Forums Scheduled In Middlebourne This Month
What do you want to see for the future of Middlebourne? Join the Community Foundation for the Ohio Valley for the first of two THINK BIG Middlebourne Community Forums on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at the Senior Center at 504 Cherry Street in Middlebourne from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
“The generosity and forward thinking nature of the late resident and retired schoolteacher Ruth Stealey Green resulted in her creating a permanent fund to support the future growth of Middlebourne. This endowment provides a unique opportunity that not too many towns in our country have to improve the quality of life for citizens in Middlebourne,” shares Susie Nelson, executive director of the Community Foundation for the Ohio Valley.
The Community Foundation for the Ohio Valley in partnership with the Stealey Community Fund advisory committee are hosting two forums in November for community members, business owners, town leaders, students, nonprofits, and government officials of Middlebourne. The forum is to hear what BIG IDEAS citizens have for Middlebourne’s future and develop some great opportunities to take a great place to the next level. Thanks to the generosity of the Stealey Community Fund the Middlebourne community has a HUGE opportunity to continue strengthening our town and provide the best opportunities for our citizens.
The Community Foundation invites citizens to bring their ideas, interests, and hopes for the community’s future to the two sessions including:
(a) Wednesday, November 8th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM
(b) Tuesday, November 28th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM
Both community forums will take place at Senior Center at 504 Cherry Street in Middlebourne, WV. The forums are made possible through a grant from the ARC Flex-E-Grant program and convening assistance form Philanthropy West Virginia.
No registration or RSVP is necessary. Come and bring any friends or neighbors interested in sharing their ideas. For more information, you may call the Community Foundation for the Ohio Valley at 304.242.3144.
