The Paden City Development Authority and the Friendly Lions Club sponsor weekly bingo, every Tuesday, at the Paden City H&R Building Reception Hall. Recently, the two groups joined efforts to proclaim Paden City Band Bingo Night. It was held on Oct. 10. All proceeds earned by the PCDA and Friendly Lions Club were combined and donated to the Paden City Band.

Debra Price, director of bands at Paden City High School, stated, “On behalf of the PCHS Band, thanks to the Paden City Development Authority and the Friendly Lions Club for their generous donation to our travel fund.”

“We are very grateful for all the community support, and we are very excited to represent our town when we perform at Disney World in March of 2018.”

Price went on to say, “Our hard working students are excited for this opportunity to showcase their talent on the Disney stage for potentially a global audience. For some of our students this will be a trip of a lifetime.”

“Several have not traveled much further than the Band Bus has taken them. An opportunity to see an ocean and travel further from home, than they ever imagined, will be a new reality for many. The educational experience goes beyond the world of music and thanks to our many generous donors, we are excited to provide this opportunity for our students.”
