Oil and Gas Festival Is Booming Success
The 49th Annual Oil and Gas Festival went underway in Sistersville this past weekend. This year was another success. This year’s “Gas Man of the Year” award went to Charlie Burd and a luncheon was held in his honor on Saturday morning. The parade was held at noon on Saturday and featured many queens and honored guests. There was a band competition held following the parade at Tyler Consolidated High School. There were also musical guests at the park following the parade as well. Vendors were set up in the pavilion at the Sistersville Park and children ran and played with balloons courtesy of Bubble Man Danny Westfall. The weather was beautiful and it was a great weekend to spend with friends and family.
