Paden City Labor Day Events Begin Friday

Paden City’s annual Labor Day festivities will offer plenty of food, music, and fun for all ages, with beginning ceremonies slated for Friday, 6 p.m.

Following the opening ceremonies, the musical entertainment for the week begins with the group Back in the Day, which will offer oldies from the 50s and 60s.

Saturday’s events begin at 1 p.m. when Fun Factory Inflatables will open for youthful event-goers. One A Chord will kick-off the musical entertainment for the day from 3-4 p.m., followed by Honkey Tonk Sweethearts from 6-7:30 p.m.

Mars Alley will close out Saturday’s entertainment, beginning at 8:30 p.m.

Fun Factory inflatables will again open at 1 p.m. Beacon Road will take the stage from 2-3:30 p.m. Half Cracked will entertain from 4-6 p.m., and Ryan Ritchea will entertain from 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Davisson Brothers will take the stage from 8:30-10 p.m.

The annual Paden City Labor Day parade will take over the street at 1 p.m.

The Remedy will entertain at 2 p.m., followed by DeWayne Spaw at 5 p.m., and Jimmy Fortune is set to close out the holiday at 7:30 p.m.

There will be plenty of tasty food for event-goers as well. Paden City Volunteer Fire Department will host a fish fry on Sunday, 1-6 p.m. and on Monday, 2-6 p.m. A hearty all-you-can-eat breakfast will be available on Monday, from 8 a.m. until noon.

The Paden City Volunteer Fire Department, as well as the American Legion Auxiliary Unit #86, will have food all four days of the festival.

Other entertainment includes duck pond, crafters, dime pitch, wagon rides, and more.
