The 55th Annual Tyler County Fair went off without a hitch last week. The fair lasted from July 31st through August 5th and provided all kinds of exciting events including the Tyler County Fair Pageant, the demolition derby, Bingo, and the livestock shows.

The carnival, provided by Powers and Thomas, lit up the sky every night for the kids as the carnival vendors yelled from their stands to entice participants to try their luck and win a prize. There were crowds in line every night enjoying these classic rides.

There were a large variety of musical guests throughout the week as well including The Carriers, Bonray, and Craig Campbell.

Unfortunately the weather caused the mud bogs to be canceled however, there was never a dull moment at the demolition derby. Cars were crashing into each other left and right to the point that you could hear the metal grind under the force.

Some cars even burst into flames and the fire and rescue units would roll in sirens blaring to extinguish the flames.

Many people gathered around the picnic shelter to play a hand of Bingo.

People were yelling from the crowds to hit each other while getting themselves amped up.

There were several vendors setup in the flea market where you could purchase anything you could possibly think of from knives, to trinkets, to tapestries.

This year also offered Team Rock – Martial Arts Experience every evening to entertain the crowds. They would perform at least two shows per evening and sometimes more.

Most evening provided karaoke at the small stage where anyone could get on stage and showcase their talent.

There was certainly something for everyone this year at the 55th Annual Tyler County Fair.
