Eagle Writes Book About Life in Sistersville

By Staff | Jun 28, 2017

Linda “Lynn” Eagle has recently written a book about her life growing up in Sistersville. The title of her book is: “The Lyrics of My Life; Music, Ministry and Soaring with the Eagles.” Her mother, Vivian Boston, also wrote for the Tyler Star News for approximately 60 years. Eagle explained that she began writing her childhood stories around October of 2016 and as she was descibing someof the stories to her friends, they suggested she write a book. Eagle thought to herself, “If Dolly Parton can tell the stories from her life, so can I”

Eagle got her book printed by Graphic Creation in Knoxville Tennessee, where they were able to print 150 copies. She now has less than 15 copies. She has also sent a copy of her book to the Sistersville Library to be marked “history” and “do not remove from the library”.

Eagle was born in Sistersville but has recently moved to Knoxville Tennessee. Eagle no longer has any family in West Virginia but she has left behind several friends whom she misses very much.

Eagle is currently doing research and considering writing a story about her grandmother’s life who was born in 1898 and lived to be 89 years old.
