BOE Discusses Paving Projects at Schools

By Staff | Jun 28, 2017

Tyler County Board of Education members met Monday evening where it was announced that there are some projects taking place around some of the local schools. The Tyler Consolidated High School envelope project is underway and so there will be some scaffolding around the building. There is also some work being done to fix the road leading down to the track. Boreman Elementary will be paving the parking lot and gravel areas around their building as well.

Superintendent Robin Daquilante reported that the attendance was down 21 people from the end of the year last year, which is not too bad considering there were several counties that had to cut personnel costs due to lack of enrollment.

The budget revisions and committed fund balance were approved and it was mentioned that all budget revisions must be submitted by June 30th.
