Table Is Set for 53rd Annual Tyler County Fair

Come join in the fun and festivities at the 53rd Annual Tyler County Fair. Don’t miss out on the exciting night of pageantry Monday, August 3, when new title holders will be crowned, along with the 2015 Tyler County Fair Queen.

The Children’s Pageant titles include the title of Tiny Miss (age 3-5), Little Miss (age 6-7), Little Mister (age 4-7), and Jr. Miss (age 8-9).

Attire for the above age groups is Sunday best ONLY. Contestants need to register at the front of the stage at 5-5:30 p.m. the day of the pageant. Each contestant in the above age groups will receive a certificate for participating. Winners will receive a beautiful crown, custom sash, trophy, and an amazing prize package. If enough contestants enter in these age groups, there will be first, second, and third runners-up. Entry is free.

A Pre-teen (10-12) and Teen (13-15) pageant will also be held Monday evening.

The pageant for Pre-teen above Teen age groups will be immediately following the children’s pageant. Attire for the above age groups is a dress, color and style of contestant’s choice. Judging will be based on poise, confidence, appropriate attire, and on-stage question in dress!

Contestants need to register at the front of the stage at 5:30 p.m. the day of the pageant. Each contestant in the above age groups will receive a gift for participating! Rehearsal will be held Sunday, August 2, at 1:30 p.m. at the main stage at the Tyler County Fairgrounds.

Winners will receive beautiful crown, custom sash, trophy, gift certificates, jewelry, and customized gifts! The prize package is amazing! If there are enough contestants in these age groups, there will also be first, second, and third runners-up.

The big finale to Monday’s night of pageantry will be the Queen’s pageant, for ages 16-21.

Attire for the above age groups is Interview, Event Promotion in casual wear, and Evening Gown. Interview attire is to be dressy and professional. Event promotion will require the pageant shirt, which will be given to contestants at the pageant. Event promotion attire is to include blue jeans and shoes of choice. Judging will be based on poise, confidence, speaking ability, and on-stage presence. Evening gown can be color and style of each contestant’s choice. Interviews begin at 4 p.m. Location of interview is To Be Announced. Each interview will be three to five minutes long, before a panel of three judges.

Event promotion is to be a 30 second event promotion about the Tyler County Fair while wearing the casual wear.

An on-stage question will be answered while wearing the evening gown.

Each contestant in the above age groups will receive a shirt and gift for participating. Rehearsal will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, August 2 at the main stage at the Tyler County Fairgrounds.

Winner will receive a beautiful crown, custom sash, rhinestoned sash for appearances, trophy, flowers, all expense paid trip to represent the Tyler County Fair at the West Virginia Association of Fairs and Festivals, gift certificates, jewelry, parade signs, and $1,000 scholarship at the end of her reign! The prize package is growing daily!

If enough contestants are entered in the Queen’s pageant, there will also be a first, second, and third runners-up, along with a Miss Congeniality and Miss Photogenic.
