Lopez Crowned Oil and Gas Queen

The four top finishers watch to see who will be crowned the 2015 WV Oil and Gas Festival Queen.

Emily Lopez was crowned the 2015 Oil and Gas Festival Queen at the Saturday, July 11 pageant held at Sistersville Elementary School.

As part of her prize package, Lopez received $1,800, crown, custom sash, multiple gift certificates, and an all-expenses paid trip to the West Virginia Fairs and Festivals pageant. Runners-up included Heather Naples, first runner-up; Charley Clayton, second runner-up; Mahali Hargis, third runner-up; and Brandee Prater, fourth runner-up. Contestant Olivia Mooney received the award for Miss Congeniality while Naples was named Miss Photogenic.

This year’s pageant was under the direction of Heather Clay Roush and 2014 Oil and Gas Festival Queen Kelly Sims. The duo took the place of Joberta White, who retired last year after 40 years of directing the pageant.
