Annual Right To Life Walk Held
The annual Wetzel-Tyler Right To Life walk was held Saturday, May 16, beginning at New Martinsville’s city building and ending at Bruce Park. The yearly tradition has so far brought in approximately $2,800 for 2015; however, there are still donations to be expected.
One hundred percent of the funds collected will be distributed between Women’s Choice Pregnancy Resource Center, located in Charleston, and Compass Care Women’s Center, located in Morgantown. Phil Chatting of Women’s Choice spoke to walkers in attendance during a rally which was held after the walk.
Both centers offer free pregnancy tests and free and confidential counseling. Compass Care offers limited ultrasounds, and Women’s Choice can refer individuals for a free obstetrical ultrasound exam.
Women’s Choice can be accessed at 304-346-9779 and Compass Care can be reached at 304-276-0731.
The Wetzel-Tyler Right to Life group plan on having their yearly booth at Town & Country Days. Plans are tentative as to a booth at the Tyler County Fair. If interested in helping with the group with their endeavors, call Diane Strippel at 304-455-6068 or Elizabeth Thomas at 304-997-1954.
