Paden City to hold elections in April for select positions
The city of Paden City will hold an election on June 5. A recorder and one member of council from each ward will be elected.
April 6 was the last day to file for election, so the ballot is now set with only one person seeking each position: Recorder, incumbent Tamra Billiter; First Ward Council, incumbent Jim Richmond; Second Ward Council, incumbent John Staggers; and Third Ward Council, Clyde Hochstrasser.
The last day to register to vote in this election is May 15.
Individuals must go to the courthouse in the county in which they reside to register.
The first day that Absentee Ballot Applications could be received by the recorder was March 12.
The first day of early voting in person will be May 15 and the last day of early voting in person will be June 1.
Early voting will be held at city hall.
On election day polls open at 6:30 a.m. and close at 7:30 p.m. Poll locations are First Ward, former middle school cafeteria; Second Ward, city building in the council chambers; and Third Ward, Paden City Volunteer Fire Company hall.
