On Friday evening the Tyler County Sheriff’s Office, assisted by the West Virginia State Police, served a search warrant at a residence located at 103 Temple Circle, Sistersville. Police seized what they allege to be a clandestine methamphetamine lab.

Deputies have arrested Shirl N. Baker III, 34, and Dustin K. Fulks, 24, in connection with the alleged meth lab.

They are charged with the felony offense of operating or attempting to operate a clandestine drug laboratory. Presently, each man is is being held in lieu of $50,000 bond.

Baker is in the North Central Regional Jail and Fulks is being held at Northern Regional Jail. Baker’s preliminary hearing will be held March 10 at 2:30 p.m. and Fulks’ hearing will follow before the Tyler County Magistrate Court.

The matter remains under investigation and there will be no further comment at this time.
