An investigation continues after armed robbery occurred in the Sistersville City Park on Sunday night after midnight, in which two women were held at gunpoint.

Officials reported that Tyler Bills and Chelsea Gonzales allegedly got away with $120. They were located and arrested almost four hours later in Newport, Ohio, where they lived.

According to Sistersville Sergeant Alex Northcraft, they all arrived at the park together. The robbers then allegedly held the victims at gunpoint and left them at the park.

Bills and Gonzales are currently being held in the Washington County Jail, both on charges of armed robbery.

Sergeant Northcraft stated that other police departments were involved. The Tyler County Sheriff’s Department directly assisted Sistersville, while other local agencies were alerted and on lookout for their vehicle. The Washington County Sheriff’s Department eventually made the arrest.
