Two candidates will vie to become the next mayor in the upcoming Middlebourne Council election.

Current Mayor Gayla Fisher is not seeking re-election, leaving Charles Delauder and Chad Swiger to compete for the position. Swiger is running as a write-in candidate.

Seeking re-election for the five available council seats are incumbents Dave Myers, Doug Doak, Rodney Miller, and Vera Henthorn. Other candidates running are Susan Pelikan, Robert Jones, Bradley Hayes, Steve Roberts, Mike Thomas, and Gary Patterson.

Current Recorder Suzanne Farhatt will run unopposed for her position.

The last day to file for the municipal election was on April 23. All elected positions are for two-year terms. The election will be held June 11.
