Jason Utt, 22, of New Martinsville, is sworn in by Paden City Mayor John “Hoppy” Hopkins as a patrolman in the Paden City Police Department Thursday afternoon.

Utt will be working full time for the department while finishing a History degree and Criminal Justice minor at Bethany College, from where he plans to graduate in May.
