Katie Hoyes

Katie Hoyes, a senior member of the Tyler Consolidated High School Choir, performed with the elite West Virginia All State Chamber Choir at the Clay Center in Charleston on Feb. 2.

The choir consisted of 55 singers from across the state of West Virginia and is sponsored by the West Virginia Chapter of the American Choral Directors Association. The choir was conducted by Dr. Kevin Fenton of Florida State University.

The program included “Estampie Natalis” by Vaclav Nelhybel, “Liebeslider Walzer” by Johannes Brahms, “My Spirit Is Uncaged” by Paul Rardin, “Here Inside My Heart” by Andrea Ramsey, and “Crucifixion” by Adolphus Hailstork.

Katie is the daughter of John and Karen Hoyes of Paden City.
