TCHS celebrates homecoming

By Staff | Oct 24, 2012

Tyler Consolidated High School held their Homecoming ceremonies on Friday night during the half time ceremonies of the Silver Knight – Ritchie County varsity football game. Allison Wable, daughter of Scott and Tonya Wable of Sistersville was elected the 2012 Homecoming Queen by the student body and was crowned by last years queen, Sami Jones. The first runner-up was Haylea LeMasters (pictured above right); Silver Knight Marching Band members Caroline Bantug and Brandon Collins (pictured at right), provided drum rolls for the occasion.

Wable is the third member of her family to be selected as Homecoming queen. Forty nine years ago, in 1963, maternal grandmother Vickie Virden served as Homecoming Queen for Tyler County High School, and 58 years ago, her paternal grandmother, Martha Neuenschwander, was the Homecoming Queen for Sistersville High School in 1955.
