Sistersville Marble Festival deemed a success

By Staff | Oct 3, 2012

Last weekend’s Sistersville Marble Festival was the largest in the event’s history, officials said.

Jim King, organizer of the event, said attendees came from all over, as did vendors and crafters, making the festival bigger than ever. Additionally, a wedding was held in conjunction with the festival between a man from Texas and a woman from Ripley, King said.

The event featured live music, marble displays and sales, crafters, vendors and marble making displays, pictured at left.

King said after a brief break, planning will begin for next year’s event.
