Make way for the Scrubber
A “Scrubber” made at the Sistersville Tank Works, weighing upwards of 70,000 pounds, collected a fair share of interest by residents and drivers along W.Va. 2 on Sunday morning as it made its way through the streets of Sistersville headed to the boat docks along the Ohio River. It was hauled by Miller Transfer on a 150 ft. truck bed. Once at the river, the piece of machinery was loaded onto a barge and continued its journey to R.G. Steele in Follansbee, WV.
“Everything went very well indeed with this move,” said Sistersville Tank Plant Manager Don Rush. “We’ve been planning this move since February, trying to work everything out, and I’m glad to say that it all went very well.”
