Jazz Knights perform during fundraiser
The Tyler Consolidated High School Jazz Band will perform at the Sistersville Elks Club on April 14 from 5 – 7 p.m. The band will perform in the ballroom as part of a dinner buffet sponsored by the Knight Band Patrons. The cost for the all-you-can-eat buffet is $10 for adults and $5 for students.
The buffet will include salad, spaghetti with marinara or alfredo sauce, bread or garlic bread, and homemade desserts.
The Jazz Band will perform a variety of jazz selections throughout the evening. All proceeds from this event will benefit the Knight Band program.
Members of the Jazz Band are: Kaitlyn Neff (alto sax), Riley Housel (alsto sax), Adriane Rine (tenor sax), Charlie McNees (tenor sax), Zack Pelikan (baritone sax), Dan Grimm (trumpet), Josh Pelikan (trombone), Grace Rine (piano), Nick Orr (bass guitar), Brandon Collins (drums), and Hannah Thomas (percussion).
The Jazz Knights can also be heard at their annual Spring Concert held at the Tyler Consolidated High School auditorium on April 26 at 7:30 p.m. (admission is free for this event). The Spring Concert will feature music of the Caribbean performed by the Knight Steel Drum Band.
The Jazz band performs under the direction of Wayne Smith.
