Two band members from Tyler Consolidated High School were nominated by their director and were accepted into the West Liberty State University Tri-State Honor Band.

After being nominated, Kaitlyn Neff (alto sax) and Ashley Watson (clarinet) auditioned for this prestigious concert band. Upon their acceptance to the ensemble, they traveled to West Liberty and spent three days in intense rehearsals with some of the best instrumental musicians in the Tri-State area. They also attended clinics and performances by West Liberty students and faculty members.

The event concluded with a concert performed by the Tri-State Honor Band on the West Liberty campus.
