Residents of Tyler and Wetzel Counties are being warned of a new telephone scam deluging the area. An unknown person, or persons, is making telephone calls to homes leaving messages regarding the results of a pregnancy test recently taken at the Wetzel-Tyler Health Department.

These phone calls are a scam. The Wetzel-Tyler Health Department has not and will not be making such telephone calls. The authorities have been notified and the matter is being thoroughly investigated.

Anyone receiving such a call is asked to call the Wetzel-Tyler Health Department immediately at 304-337-2001, and report it so information can be gathered, tracked and the culprits charged.
