Sheriff releases monthly report
Tyler County Sheriff Earl P. Kendle, Jr. has released the following report for the month of December 2010.
Deputies traveled over 7,845 miles, spent 50 hours on court bailiff duty, participated in one parade escort, served 74 circuit court papers, 100 magistrate court papers, monitored 10 home confinements, received 82 complaints, assisted one motorist and investigated 14 auto accidents.
The following trips were made by the Tyler County Sheriff Office: four to North Central Regional Jail, two to Parkersburg, WV, one to Northern Regional Jail in Moundsville, and two to Moundsville.
Deputies investigated the following crimes: delivery of a controlled substance, 7; destruction of property, 2; unattended death, one; overdose, one; burglary, one; petit larceny, 2; domestic violence, 4; and alarm activation, two.
The following arrests, both felony and misdemeanor, were made: three delivery of marijuana; four conspiracy to deliver marijuana; one forgery; one assault on a police officer; one battery on a police officer; one destruction of property; one nighttime burglary; one breaking and entering of an auto; four sexual assaults; and one sexual abuse.
Traffic citations were issued as follows: expired registration, 1; defective equipment, 2; no operator’s license, one; driving on suspended/revoked license, 3; no proof of insurance, 4; failure to change address on license, one; failure to dim headlights, one; DUIA, one; failure to maintain control, one; left of center, one; speeding, 3; no seat belt, one; permitting unauthorized person to drive, one; expired MVI sticker, one; failure to obtain WV registration, one; and littering, one.
