Donations sought by TCSO

By Staff | Nov 3, 2010

The Tyler County Sheriff’s Office is seeking sponsors for the annual Safetypup Program Drive.

This program is an ongoing effort that the TCSO has pledged to in an effort to keep Tyler County children safe and drug free.

The Child Safety and Drug Prevention Education Program reaches out to all young children form ages five through 12.

The Safetypup Program is one of the programs sponsored by the NCSC, a 501(c)(3) tax exempt, non-profit organization. This past year the NCSC has given safety material to the TCSO to help deter the peer pressure that young people face every day.

The TCSO feels it is important to continue educating the young children of Tyler County with accurate and vital facts regarding drugs.

Sheriff Bob Kendle is hopeful that members of the community will support these efforts by sponsoring the program.

There are three levels of sponsorship: 20 children for $55; 30 children for $82.50; and 50 children for $137.50.

Please make checks payable to the National Child Safety Council and mail it to: P.O. Box 121, Attn: Sheriff Earl P. Kendle, Jr., Middlebourne, WV 26149.

Each contribution os tax exempt and all money contributed to the fund will stay in Tyler County.

Sheriff Kendle remarked, “My sincere thanks and appreciation for your support, time and consideration for this worthwhile program.”
