Deputies nab fugitive
A fight on Adonis Ridge Road in Tyler County resulted in the arrest of a man wanted in two states.
On May 30, at approximately 12:16 a.m., the Tyler County 911 Center received a report of three men fighting. Deputies J.K. Maston and J.L. Richardson of the Tyler County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene to investigate.
Upon their arrival, it was discovered that one of the men, Ralph Gorrell, Jr., 47, of Weirton, W.Va., was a fugitive from justice.
Gorrell is wanted in Juab County, Utah on a methamphetamine charge; in Hancock County, W.Va for delivery on Heroin; and in Brooke County, W.Va for abetting the delivery of oxycodone and failure to provide support to a minor.
Maston and Richardson placed Gorrell under arrest. No other arrests were made.
Gorrell is currently being housed in North Central Regional Jail in Greenwood, pending transfer to to another facility.
