Gorbys involved in accident

On April 29, James and Paulette Gorby of Alma were traveling north on W.Va. 18 approximately 2.5 miles south of Middlebourne in their 2006 Ford F350 truck when they were struck by a falling tree.
Paulette was extricated from the vehicle and airlifted to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown for the treatment of her injuries. She remained in ICU until Fridat afternoon and was released on Sunday.
Middlebourne Fire Department and EMS, Shirley Fire Department and EMS and Alma EMS all responded to the accident.
Sgt. Dean Pratt and Deputy Scott Dalrymple from Tyler County Sheriff’s Office were investigating officers.
The accident is still under investigation.
