Neff found in county

William B. Neff

William B. Neff, 36, of Route 1 Box 232, Middlebourne, was apprehended on Aug. 10 on a capias warrant for manufacturing a controlled substance.

Neff was indicted by the grand jury in October 2008 and his bond was set. Judge Mark Karl gave him one week to secure money for bail and he left the court room.

However, Neff failed to post bail and failed to appear at his next hearing. Subsequently, a capias warrant was issued and he was entered into a national crime database.

Recently, Deputies J.K. Maston and J.L. Richardson of the Tyler County Sheriff’s Department received information that Neff had been living in various places throughout the county and eventually apprehended him at his father’s residence on Elk Fork near Kidwell.

Neff is currently being housed at the North Central Regional Jail awaiting arraignment on Aug. 28.
