Tyler Alive plans for ‘Team Assessment’

As part of the ON TRAC program, Tyler Alive will a host a series of Assessment Team meetings in July.

The group meetings will take place at the First United Methodist Church located at 610 Main Street. The first meeting will be on Monday, July 13 at 7:30 p.m. and the public is invited to attend. The second meeting is open to Sistersville business owners and will be held on July 14 at 12 p.m. with the last meeting for commercial business owners at 2 p.m.

ON TRAC is a new program from the West Virginia Development Office Main Street Program, which is a community revitalization program originated by the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Their trade marked four-point approach focuses on organization, promotion, design and economic restructuring.

The ON TRAC program’s intent is to help communities develop the capacity to carry out the Main Street approach to revitalize their “downtown” commercial districts and aid in the preservation of historical buildings and community.

In receiving the award, Tyler Alive is obligated to help develop this capacity and ON TRAC components in Sistersville. The WV Development Office is committed to helping with this effort by providing technical assistance, as assessment team visit, a work place visits and a design team visit.
