Jacob Henderson and Laura Goddard have been selected as the second nine-week recipients of the “Carry the Shield” award at Tyler Consolidated High School. This award is presented to students who carry themselves with integrity, and who represent their school and community with pride and kindness, even when no one is watching.

Jacob is the kind of student who shows up early and stays late, always willing to help whether it was in the classroom or behind the scenes at school events. Laura is just as dedicated, balancing multiple activities while still finding time to encourage others and lead by example. Both are very actively involved in school life at TCHS.

Together, Jacob and Laura reflect what it truly means to “Carry the Shield” and to uphold the values of Tyler Consolidated High School.
