Creed Denbow, a 2nd grade student at Paden City Elementary School, participated in the Eighth Annual State Fire Marshal Fire Safety Poster Contest. This West Virginia State Contest is open to all students in PreK-5. The winners were selected and each winner’s fire poster is assigned to one month of the year in the Fire Marshal’s annual calendar. The annual event is an excellent opportunity for children to learn about fire safety education.

The West Virginia State Fire Marshal, Mr. Ken Tyree, proudly presented Creed with the prestigious award and a framed copy of his winning Fire Prevention poster. Creed also received a special certificate from Governor Morrisey in recognition of his outstanding contribution to fire prevention.

Creed was given a challenge coin symbolizing his contribution to fire prevention. His artwork featured in the WV Fire Marshal’s calendar–illustrates a true testament to his creativity, dedication, and love of animals.
