Local Famers Market Fall Fest Drew Large Crowds

By Randy Rutherford - Staff Writer | Nov 6, 2025

On Tuesday, October 28, children and adults gathered for the second Annual Fall Fest, hosted by the Local Farmers Market at the Sistersville Park. Building on the success of last year’s event, the festival provided a fun-filled day featuring classic autumn activities for all ages. Attendees enjoyed festive music provided by the duo, Y.M.E. (Yost McIver Experience), the comforting aroma of seasonal treats, and the vibrant atmosphere of our beautiful park that perfectly caps off the Local Farmers Market’s second successful season.

Market hours for the festival began at 4:30 PM and conclude at 6:30 PM, and featured fresh produce, Natural Apothecary, baked goods, jams and jellies, flowers and corn stocks, freeze dried goods, sourdough starters, cookbooks, homemade breads, plants, custom designed apparel and hand poured candles.

Highlighted FREE activities for the festival, which began at 4:30 PM and concluded at 7:30 PM, caramel apple decorating, pumpkin painting, hayrides, live music, paint your own market bag, face painting, inflatables, Halloween themed kids’ yoga, creation station, yard games, Quial Experience and more!

Additionally, there was a vendor sponsored trick or treat, Chili Cook-off with Hailey Weigle taking first place, WVFMA Department of Agriculture, UOCD Education Trailer and multiple food trucks.
