Glow Party Lights Up Sistersville Pool’s Summer Sendoff
The Sistersville Pool ended its successful 2025 summer season with a splash on August 8, hosting the Paul Neuenschwander Family Glow Party. It was a fun, family-centered celebration that lit up the night and closed out the record season in style.
Sponsored by David and Barbara Swift, grandchildren of the late Paul Neuenschwander, the party drew over 100 guests from the area and beyond. Beginning at 8 p.m. and stretching until midnight, the pool deck shimmered under the glow of more than 2,000 sponsor-donated glow sticks handed out to attendees, creating a fun, festive atmosphere that highlighted the community favorite venue, and created a new summertime tradition.
In addition to the glowing celebration, guests had the opportunity to enter a raffle featuring a $200 restaurant gift card and scratch-off lottery ticket basket, also sponsored by the Neuenschwanders, with all proceeds from admissions and raffle sales directly benefiting the Sistersville Park and Pool. Admission was just $5, making the event accessible and enjoyable for all ages.
The event served as both a celebration and a heartfelt thank you to the community, and special appreciation was extended to the Neuenschwander family for their generous support in making the night a glowing success.
The 2025 pool season saw record participation, a success largely credited to the dedicated management team of Amber and Robert Nolan and Miranda King, whose leadership helped keep the facility safe, fun, and family-friendly all summer long. The Park and Pool also extended gratitude to its hardworking student lifeguards, concession stand workers, and maintenance staff for their commitment throughout the season.
As another summer season comes to a close, the Sistersville Park and Pool looks forward to continuing its mission of providing a fun, safe space for families to enjoy their summer days. All their success this past season is due in part to the ongoing support from the Sistersville City Council, Mayor Rice, Tyler County Commission, business partners, clubs, local churches and families like the Neuenschwanders, whose dedication behind the scenes made it possible. The Park and Pool Board is very grateful. And before you know it, we’ll see you next year!
