Wetzel Tyler Health Department Moving Into Temporary Space

Shown here is the Wetzel Tyler Health Department's temporary location at the New Martinsville United Methodist Church Educational Wing.
The Wetzel Tyler County Health Department is moving into a temporary space while its new office is being constructed.
Ashley Guiler, administrator of the health department, made the announcement on June 25.
“Beginning July 1, 2025, Wetzel Tyler Health Department will be operating out of their temporary location at New Martinsville United Methodist Church Educational Wing, 10 Howard Jeffers Drive
New Martinsville,” she said.
This is the same church that the health department purchased a plot of land from in New Martinsville for the future new health facility.
The health department currently is housed in a building owned by the Paden City Development Authority. The health department’s board announced that it planned to construct a new building in New Martinsville instead of staying in Paden City.
The health department declined an offer from the authority to have the space renovated and instead decided to have a new structure built in New Martinsville.
The land to be used belonged to the United Methodist Church in New Martinsville. The church sold the plot for $125,000 to the health department.
