Tyler Consolidated High School senior Haydon Ammons is among the 30 West Virginia students set to receive a $2,000 scholarship.

Ammons will receive the 2025 Albert Yanni Scholarship along with 29 other career technical education students, according to the West Virginia Department of Education.

The money will help Ammons with his future education and career training plans.

“On behalf of the West Virginia Board of Education and the West Virginia Department of Education, I commend the 2025 class of Albert Yanni Scholarship recipients for their achievements,” State Superintendent of Schools Michele Blatt said in a press release.

“They have performed exceptionally in the classroom and their certification programs. Their hard work will serve them well as they advance through their fields of study and certifications.”
